Orri Oskarsson was born in Reykjavik, Iceland, on 29 August 2004, making him 22 years old.
His football journey began when he joined Icelandic side Grótta, and remarkably, he actually made his debut aged just 13 years and 354 days, when he came on as a substitute in the 2018 2. deild match against Höttur. His father Óskar Hrafn Þorvaldsson was the manager, and he scored a brace.
He then had a stint at FC Copenhagen, which also featured a loan spell with Sønderjyske. After a string of impressive performances, clubs from Europe’s top five leagues became interested. And in the end, it was Real Sociedad who landed him in a €20 million deal.
To date, he’s scored 21 goals in 75 appearances and he also has international pedigree, scoring 12 in 22 caps. He is Iceland’s captain.

In addition to making his debut at the age of just 13, Oskarsson actually also scored a hat-trick against his dad’s side Breiðablik in Champions League qualifying in August 2023.
In an interview with Mundo Deportivo a few years ago, he stated that the thing he needed to improve the most was keeping his own home clean, and that his big strength was his happiness.
He also cited Robert Lewandowski, Harry Kane and Alexander Isak as his idols.
His favourite type of goal to score is the tap-in.
As per the report from TEAMtalk, there are a few other clubs, who could pose a threat to Everton in the race to sign Oskarsson. They are:
There haven’t been any reports of an asking price for Oskarsson, but he is under contract with Real Sociedad until the summer of 2030 and has been in great form this season, scoring four goals in 11 games.
Undoubtedly, Sociedad would be looking to make a healthy profit on the €20 million they paid for him, and certainly, if Everton are going to get involved, then they will demand a high price, knowing the Toffees are in dire need.
