A Duke Blue Devils player has come under fire after his shocking behaviour towards a female staff member was caught on video.

The Blue Devils met the North Carolina Tar Heels in a collegiate American football match on Saturday at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.

Duke suffered a bruising 24-20 loss to their ACC rivals and are now on a two-game losing streak, dropping to 4-2 overall and 1-2 against ACC teams.

But, unfortunately, the game will be remembered for Kimari Robinson's inexcusable conduct towards a female staff member who raced onto the field to attend a stricken player.

Kimari Robinson Caught Swatting Female Staff Member

During the game, Robinson's teammate, Landan Callahan, sustained an apparent injury which required medical attention from Duke's staff.

Two staff members were attending to Callahan before a female staff member rushed over to help.

As she arrived, she slightly pushed Robinson, who was concerned and looking over his teammate.

Robinson took exception to the nudge and swatted the female staff member's arm away in an aggressive fashion. The reaction shocked the medical personnel, with her face summing up the situation.

Fans Slam Kimari Robinson for Swatting Female Staff Member

The video, which has gone viral, doesn't look good for Robinson, who has faced serious backlash since footage of the incident emerged on social media.

His inexplicable actions were condemned by fans on social media as they made their feelings known, with some calling for him to be cut.

One X user wrote: "This, @DukeFOOTBALL can’t happen. Check out the 7-9 second mark where the female athletic trainer tries to get the player hovering to move so she can help and he swings his arm at her. He needs to listen to her and know where he should be. If not where is the line?"

A second fumed: "This is an absolute horrible look by Kimari Robinson. I understand that he is looking out for his teammate but this woman is simply doing her job. Not good."

A third added: "Holy Sh*t: A Duke football player SWATS at a female medical staff worker on the field as she came to help his injured teammate. This girl is more than half his size and works for the team. He needs to be cut immediately."

Another commented: "This guy is just gawking and in the way. Look at how she’s cowering and flinching as she kneels down. He’s obviously still cussing and threatening her after pushing her hand away. Also notice how he looked at her before he decided whether to push her away or not. He 100% wouldn’t have done this if it was his male coach or a male player. Coward."

Robinson could face some sort of punishment as a result of his appalling behaviour.
