The 2026 NBA Mexico City Game is just two days away as the Nuggets face the Pacers on Saturday at Arena CDMX (5 ET, NBA TV).
Victor Wembanyama scored 12 points on Monday.
Last night, he eclipsed that total in the 1st quarter. By halftime, he had made history.
And by the final buzzer, he’d delivered a career night – and a performance that hadn’t been seen in 50+ years.
Spurs 112, Mavericks 111: Wembanyama had 29 points, 15 boards and 5 blocks … in the 1st half as San Antonio built a 19-point lead.
But Dallas clawed back behind Kyrie Irving (29 pts, 7 reb, 5 ast), slowly chipping away before Cooper Flagg threw down an alley-oop and-1 to tie the game at 100, silencing the Frost Bank Center.
Yet Wembanyama – already sitting at 42 points – had one more roar left, scoring 10 of San Antonio’s final 12 to fend off Dallas’ comeback bid and seal a one-point thriller, giving the Spurs their sixth straight win after an 0-2 start. | Recap

And what’s a record night without Luka Magic, whose sizzling start just got hotter.
Lakers 116, Kings 103: In another offensive masterclass, Dončić poured in 40 points on 6 treys while adding 9 boards and 7 dimes, as the Lakers outpaced the Kings behind his third straight 40-piece – and his fourth in his last five games. | Recap
Speaking of 40-pieces…
Thunder 124, Cavaliers 116: Two nights after dropping 43 to beat Cleveland, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander turned in 42 points and 8 dimes, scoring 32 in the 2nd half to keep Donovan Mitchell (27 pts, 6 ast) and the Cavs at bay. | Recap
For just the third time since 2000, the Sixers are 8-1.
And to get there, Philly’s stars delivered yet again, avenging their only loss of the season in a showdown between the East’s top two teams.
76ers 112, Pistons 106: Jaylen Brown (30 pts, 7 reb) notched his first 30-piece as a Sixer, but delivered the play of the game on the defensive end, blocking a Cade Cunningham 3-point attempt with 33 ticks left to help halt a 7-0 Detroit run.
Joel Embiid (26 pts, 15 reb) added a pair of free throws seconds later, and the Sixers held on to hand the Pistons just their second loss after falling to Detroit on Oct. 25. | Recap
While Philly’s star-studded squad opened Wednesday’s 14-game slate, Miami’s closed it.
Heat 117, Clippers 116 (OT): Facing a 20-point, 1st-half deficit in LA, the Heat stormed back behind Bam Adebayo, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Klay Thompson to force OT, where Thompson said goodnight – drilling a corner 3 with one second left to stamp an epic Miami dub. | Recap
Celtics 109, Bucks 102: Down 22 early in the 3rd, Tyler Herro (25 pts, 19 in 2H) willed the Bucks back as Milwaukee took the lead with 5:08 left in the 4th. But Paul George and Derrick White answered, sparking a 14-6 closing run for Boston, which held on to move to 6-2. | Recap
Knicks 135, Bulls 105: Jalen Brunson (33 pts, 4 ast) came out cooking, dropping 22 in the 1st quarter as the Knicks jumped out to an 84-52 lead at the break, tying a franchise record for points in a 1st half.

As Houston fell, the Blazers continued to rise.
Blazers 132, Suns 119: Donovan Clingan was a beast inside (24 pts, 11 reb, 3 blk), while Deni Avdija (21 pts, 7 reb, 12 ast) and Damian Lillard (25 pts, 5 ast) provided the perimeter punch as the Blazers raced past Devin Booker (33 pts) and the Suns to improve to 6-1. | Recap
For the second straight game, the Pelicans found themselves in overtime.
And for the second straight game, they pulled out a win.
Pelicans 120, Jazz 113 (OT): After edging out Memphis on Monday, New Orleans countered Keyonte George’s outburst (39 pts, 9 ast, 4 stl) with four 20+ point scorers, scoring the final four points in regulation to force OT.
And the extra frame was all Pels as they ripped off a 16-3 run to capture their fourth straight dub. | Recap
Nuggets 128, Raptors 109: Nikola Jokić (32 pts, 10 reb, 11 ast) only needed three quarters to record his 201st career triple-double, fueling a 41-15 3rd quarter for Denver, which turned a three-point halftime deficit into a 19-point win. | Recap

Pacers 107, Grizzlies 103: On a five-game skid, the shorthanded Pacers used a 21-11 closing run to deliver the final swing in a game that saw 16 lead changes, earning a huge win over Ty Jerome (23 pts) and the 6-2 Grizzlies, who have now dropped two straight. | Recap
Nets 114, Hornets 104: Michael Porter Jr. was feeling it (26 pts, 10 reb, 4 3s) as the Nets pulled past Naz Reid (28 pts, 9 reb) and the Hornets for their second win in three games. | Recap
The Warriors didn’t win five straight games all of last season. Just two weeks into 2026-27, they’ve already done so.
When asked Monday what’s changed for Golden State, Steph Curry began his answer with one name:
“Yax.”
The rookie’s emergence, alongside Curry’s continued brilliance, has helped the Dubs turn an 0-3 start into five straight wins. Tonight (10 ET, NBA TV), they host Miami, looking to make it six.
To complement Curry’s production, Yaxel Lendeborg has made an impact in his first year with the franchise, having been drafted No. 11 overall in June.
The Warriors just keep winning, but at times, wins haven’t come easy.
