ANTHONY GORDON’S agent Adam Dugdale has won the Next Generation Award at the Global Football Industry awards.
Dugdale was recognised for his work representing some of football’s top talent, after a year in which he managed Gordon’s high-profile £70m move to Barcelona.
Presenting the award, former Arsenal star Theo Walcott, who co-hosted the ceremony, said: “He is clearly someone making a real impression in football.
“His ambition and ability to build relationships with top talent mark him out as an exciting young figure in the industry.
“He’s incredibly deserving of this award. It was a great night celebrating the very best in the football industry.”
The award comes a week after Dugdale added highly-rated Man Utd star Harry Amass, 19, to his portfolio.
Anthony Gordon has enjoyed a strong start to his Barcelona career, helping the Catalans to top spot in La Liga after 11 games.
They also have nine points from a possible 12 in their Champions League campaign.
But boss Hansi Flick has pointed out one major difference in life at Barcelona for Gordon, compared to former club Newcastle.
He said: “It’s a little bit different I think for him, how we train because it’s totally different than he expected I think.
“What he said is after the game normally they don’t train in Newcastle so it’s so different than here.
“But he’s doing good so I’m very happy about his quality, about his impact he has in our team and no, he’s a good guy.”
