Darren Till has shared his thoughts on Jake Paul’s return being official for December 24.
Till was named as a part of the list of Paul’s potential opponents for his next boxing bout just last week.
Recent posts from ‘The Gorilla’ on social media suggested that talks between their teams had gone quiet, despite this being a matchup that would have generated a lot of attention.
With it now official that Paul will be facing Cedric Doumbe later this year, the former UFC title challenger has some thoughts.
Kickboxing and MMA star Doumbe hasn't fought in over two years
Darren Till said he was waiting for his contract to fight Jake Paul earlier this month when calling for the controversial star to hurry up and get the deal done.
French kickboxing and MMA star Cedric Doumbe was not a name that many would have suggested regarding the boxing return of ‘The Problem Child’.
With this matchup now official for the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on December 24, ‘The Gorilla’ has once again sent a message to Paul.
“Absolutely terrified,” Till wrote on X shortly after the announcement came, accompanied by three emojis of a laughing face, thumbs up, and a rat.
The former UFC title challenger also tagged both Paul and the co-founder and CEO of Most Valuable Promotions, Nakisa Bidarian.
Bidarian told The Sun Sport last week that Till was “definitely” one of the names they had been speaking to about Paul fighting in December or at the start of next year.
Cedric Doumbe was set to make his UFC debut before his run in the promotion fell apart before it had even got started.
The Frenchman had already become one of the top names in kickboxing, making his decision to transition to MMA an exciting prospect.
Doumbe went on to sign with the PFL, where he has competed three times for the promotion, going 2-1.
He bounced back from his first MMA loss by stopping Jaleel Willis in his last outing, but that was back in May of 2024.
