+4.51. That’s defending champion Brian Campbell’s Strokes Gained Tee-to-Green on par 3s en route to the title, the highest of any player in the field. He and Jacob Bridgeman played those holes in a cumulative score of 6 under par last year.
Tony Finau. It’s been a disappointing season for Finau but he did earn $1 million for charity by holing a putt on the basketball court during a Utah Jazz halftime promotion last week and he’s got a great track record at Vidanta, including a win in 2023.
Alvaro Ortiz. The 30-year-old native of Guadalajara, Mexico, earned a promotion to the PGA Tour for the 2027 season. He’ll get a head start this week at his nation’s open championship and at a course that he grew up playing frequently in his youth.
Brian Campbell. Notched his first of two PGA Tour titles at Vidanta last season. Campbell is making his first start of the FedEx Cup Fall and first since the Wyndham Championship in August, where he missed the cut. The former Illini’s best finish in 23 starts this season is a T-24 at the Masters.

Wednesday saw plenty of umbrellas and some standing water on the golf course during the practice rounds. Thursday is likely to see some more rain and while Friday has an about 50 percent chance of rain, the back end of this week should be nice and warm.
The total prize fund is $6 million, a slight dip from a year ago. First place is good for $1.08 million. See the full breakdown of the prize money for all the golfers who make the cut.
The event became a PGA Tour event in in 2022.
