The two sides had already met twice this season with Goodwick winning both of those games, but Tish were keen to get some revenge.

Goodwick were also keen to get a win to kick-start the defence of the trophy they won just a few months ago.

It took the holders just 12 minutes to hit the front on Saturday as Ben Adams scored after being set up by Adam Lawrence.

Lawrence was again the provider 10 minutes later as he found Will Haworth, who scored his fifth goal of the season.

He made it six just five minutes later as he scored again to give the home side a comfortable 3-0 lead.

Tish looked to get a goal back before the half ended, but they were unable to do so.

Both sides had chances in the second half before Tish finally pulled a goal back in the 82nd minute.

Nathan Thomas scored for Tish, but it would prove to be a consolation for the visitors.

The sides are back in action in Division 1 on Saturday, October 24, as Goodwick United host Tenby while St Ishmaels are at home against Milford United.
