Ten-try Wrexham make sure of another away day triumph

Following back-to-back triumphs at Ruthin, away-day specialists Wrexham were at it again as they got the better of hosts Llandudno 66-15 in their latest Division One North clash.

Ten tries did the trick for the visitors, who ran away with things in the second half after a tight opening 40 minutes.

Indeed, Llandudno had the lead with an unconverted score in just the second minute, with Wrexham responding a quarter-of-an-hour later via Ryan Gard’s unconverted score.

Jacob Hughes’ 21st minute effort handed Wrexham the lead for the first time and they wouldn’t relinquish their advantage for the remainder of the encounter.

Llandudno kicked a penalty to reduce their deficit to four points, only for tries from Nick Dodd and Jack Partington to hand the visitors a bonus point prior to the break.

Llandudno opened the second half with a converted score, but Wrexham bossed the closing half-an-hour with tries from Donnacha Fitzpatrick, Eddie Nyamangara (2), Greg Thomas, Callum Riordan and Jack Harrison. Hughes would finish the day with eight conversions.
