Stratford Town have introduced new admission rules for under-16s following reports of anti-social behaviour in the town before and after their last two home games.
The Southern League Premier Central club has announced that under-16s will no longer be admitted to the Arden Garages Stadium without an accompanying adult, unless they are members of the Junior Bards.
The club said it had received reports of youngsters travelling into the area from other towns with no allegiance to either club, with the intention of causing trouble.
There was no disorder inside the ground, but the club said the incidents outside appeared to be football-related and that action was needed to support the local community.
Chairman Jed McCrory described the decision as a "very sad day for society and for our football club", but insisted the behaviour could not be tolerated.
"This behaviour is not acceptable and will not be tolerated," he said.
Acknowledging the lack of facilities available to young people, he added: "Society has changed, and we are aware our teenagers haven't got the youth houses, boxing centres, sports facilities and even local parks where they can either afford to go to or feel safe in."
However, he said the club had a responsibility to address the problems and protect residents in Tiddington.
"However sad I feel about this decision, I have to make the decision to quell any issues within our town and for the residents of Tiddington. I cannot put into words how disappointed I am," he said.
The chairman stressed that Stratford remained a family club and was determined to protect supporters attending matches.
"We are a family club with so many good supporters who bring their families into a safe environment," he said.
"I would like to state clearly that there has been no trouble inside the ground. The issues have been outside the ground and appear to be football-related, and we feel as a club we need to review our arrangements to support our community, as our community has supported us."
The club will speak to police and the local council about further measures, while continuing discussions about a new stadium with improved road and rail access.
The chairman added: "We will not allow the actions of a minority to put at risk the safety and enjoyment of our genuine supporters, families and young people."
Any Junior Bards member found to be involved in anti-social behaviour will have their membership withdrawn.
The new arrangements will be kept under review, with the club asking all supporters to behave responsibly and respect the local community.
