Will Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8?
Warren had missed the Colts' last two games, working through a groin injury he sustained in practice prior to the Tennessee Titans game in Week 6.
Warren did return to practice this past week, and he did not have an injury designation coming into this game. He will be available for the Colts.
Warren has been a big part of the Colts' passing game, leading the team in targets, receptions, and touchdowns. His 213 receiving yards are the second-most on the team. In Week 5, he had his most productive game of the year, totaling 83 receiving yards.
Along with what Warren adds to the passing game, he plays a key role as a blocker in the run game, and his do-it-all skill set opens up the playbook for Shane Steichen.
Also on the roster at tight end, the Colts have Mo Alie-Cox, Drew Ogletree, Will Mallory, and Pharaoh Brown.
Alie-Cox and Ogletree are blocking-first options, while Mallory is more of a pass-catching threat. However, no tight end brings the same well-rounded, do-it-all skill set to the offense like Warren.
Ogletree is questionable with a knee injury for this matchup.
