Niccolò Pisilli has gradually become one of the key players in Gasperini’s Roma.
This is demonstrated by his four goals this season, making him the Giallorossi’s second-highest scorer behind Donyell Malen, who leads with ten.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport reported this morning, Pisilli is expected to start again against Udinese, partly due to the absence of Manu Koné.
Under Gasperini, the midfielder has also significantly improved his scoring rate, scoring a goal every 147.5 minutes.
At just 21 years old, Niccolò Pisilli has also reached ten goals for Roma in 82 appearances for the Giallorossi. This milestone comes ahead of Daniele De Rossi, who scored his tenth goal at 22 after 105 appearances.
At Friuli, the 2004-born player will look to build on the strong performances he’s shown in recent matches, particularly the Champions League match against Slovan Bratislava, where he scored while wearing the captain’s armband.
