AC Milan’s injury situation keeps going from bad to worse as Ruben Loftus-Cheek has become the latest to sustain an issue.
There were doubts about whether Loftus-Cheek would even be available for Sunday night’s game against Udinese, given that he was forced off at half-time in Bournemouth after taking a knock to the back of the knee.
The midfielder gritted his teeth and even came off the bench last night at the Bluenergy Stadium. However, Loftus-Cheek came off before the end of the game, having felt a pull on the back of his left thigh as he went to latch onto a through ball into the box.
Loftus-Cheek underwent tests today, but the results were not exactly very encouraging. As MilanNews report, the scans found that he has sustained a tear in the medial flexor muscle of his left thigh, which is obviously a more severe issue than just a strain.
The former Chelsea and Fulham player will be out for at least two weeks, when a further check-up is scheduled. He will miss Bologna, the derby against Inter and most likely more than that, especially given the next international break arrives in mid-November.
