With how the UFC is in the Paramount era, and for that matter in the ESPN contract- something is missing. I can't put a finger on it, but I've started/stopped a few thoughts.
My thinking with this question is if (yea, that's a big IF) the UFC added a $20 PPV charge for the numbered cards, and it went to the fighters- that more guys would want to fight.
The breakdown could be a variety of things. $5 per PPV for the Champ. $3 for the challenger and co-main fighters.
Then split the other $6 among the other 6 fighters.
That's a rough idea. If the co-main was for the belt, that champ would get more. Or maybe a champ is popular and he gets $10 per PPV, while the last 6 get nothing.
So variations in pay structure exist. My question is mainly would you be open to a $20 PPV charge if it went to the fighters.
Oh, and yea I know the UFC will never do it. If Dana steps down and his replacement came up with this idea, would ya go for it?
