Round four of the 46th Chess Olympiad 2026 saw no major upsets on the top 11 boards, which consisted of the 21 teams with a perfect score. The most dominant score was the U.S.'s 3.5-0.5 against Ukraine, with GM Levon Aronian winning the Game of the Day from a losing position against 18-year-old European Champion GM Roman Dehtiarov. The two draws on the top 10 boards were between Azerbaijan vs. the Czech Republic and France vs. Romania.
Just as in the open tournament, the United States scored 3.5-0.5 against Spain in the 2026 FIDE Women's Chess Olympiad on Saturday, as did China against Hungary, Bulgaria against Romania, and Serbia against Iran. IM Alice Lee, on 4/4, looks to be an early contender for an individual medal.
