Premier League giants eye German defender

Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool are all ‘seriously interested’ in signing Frankfurt defender Nnamdi Collins.

Collins has attracted attention due to his speed and versatility, with the 22-year-old already capped by the German national team and regularly scouted by the Premier League giants, according to fussball-news.de.

A departure from Frankfurt doesn’t seem likely, particularly in January, with the youngster still having four years left on his contract and considered an important player for the Bundesliga side.

As of yet there have been no concrete proposals for Collins but Frankfurt are quoted as being willing to start negotiations for a fee in excess of €35 million.

Man Utd explore Mateta signing

Manchester United are exploring the possibility of signing Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta ahead of the January transfer window, according to Football Insider.

Mateta could be allowed to leave Palace in January, with the 29-year-old able to depart on a free transfer next summer, and United have a longstanding interest in the Frenchman.

United will be in the market for striker in January after a long-term injury to Benjamin Sesko and the desire is for an experienced, Premier League-proven goalscorer.

However, there are still doubts over whether Mateta is the right player to go for, although United will be in the mix if Palace do indeed look to cash in on their star striker.

Bayern ‘in talks’ with Ngumoha

Bayern Munich are in talks with Rio Ngumoha over a potential move to the German giants from Liverpool.

Ngumoha has been a regular feature for Liverpool this season and Bayern had looked to sign the 18-year-old during the summer, with a proposal of €70 million being prepared.

The deal never progressed as Liverpool did not show any desire to sell Ngumoha and the deal never progressed, with Bayern signing Ismael Saibari instead.

However, German reporter Christian Falk claims that Ngumoha is still seen as a ‘great option’ for Bayern and that the winger could be a target again next summer, with talks still ongoing with the teenager’s camp.

Arsenal told transfer target could command world record fee

Arsenal and Liverpool are among the sides monitoring the situation of Zion Suzuki after a bright start to his career at Aston Villa.

According to TEAMtalk, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are keeping a close watch on Suzuki’s progress after being convinced that the shotstopper is ready to make the step up to Europe’s elite level.

Manchester City and Arsenal are also in the mix but their interest is said to be on a more long-term level instead of an immediate move, while Liverpool have also checked on Suzuki as a potential successor to Alisson.

However, Villa are said to be ‘far from concerned’ over the future of a player who signed a five-year contract in the summer, with an anticipation that Suzuki could become the most expensive goalkeeper in history if he does leave, exceeding the €80m spent on Kepa Arrizabalaga by Chelsea in 2018.
