“Are you not entertained?” — Bayern Munich…the whole club.

Well, if Bayern Munich fans wanted to see a response after consecutive draws, they certainly got it.

The Bavarians destroyed RB Leipzig 6-1 at the Allianz Arena in a match that was never really close. It was a complete and utter dismantling, and RB Leipzig must still be wondering what hit them. Let’s get into some quick hitters from the match:

  • As always, let’s begin with a look at the starting XI:
  • With Manuel Neuer and Jamal Musiala both banged up and unable to play, the only real surprise was Nathaniel Brown, who started over Alphonso Davies. Kim Min-Jae starting over Jonathan Tah was not a total shock given Tah’s poor showing vs. Viking FK earlier in the week.
  • Bayern Munich got something it desperately needed—a perfectly timed run by Luis Díaz, which the Colombian clinically finished. It was a beautiful ball over the top by Joshua Kimmich as well.
  • It looked like Díaz might not be out of the woods yet, as he failed to finish another chance just a few minutes later, but the Colombian more than made up for it.
  • Bayern Munich was confident and cocksure against a good RB Leipzig team that looked unsure of where it was.
  • Dayot Upamecano failed to convert a good opportunity in the 19th minute. Bayern Munich was applying pressure and creating decent chances, showing a much more motivated and focused performance.
  • In the 26th minute, Harry Kane dropped in deep to receive a pass from Urbig, who made a terrific long-range pass to Díaz. Díaz worked free from his defender and found a running Aleksandar Pavlović, who finished his big chance to make it 2-0.
  • Aside from the offense, Bayern Munich gave RB Leipzig no room to breathe defensively.
  • In the 34th minute, Kane continued his playmaking ways by feeding Michael Olise, who continued his torrid run of form with another goal to give Bayern a 3-0 lead. RB Leipzig was completely overwhelmed and not ready for primetime.
  • Díaz got the second half started in style with another goal for Bayern Munich.
  • It is hard to nitpick much of the performance from Bayern Munich, but if you had to, Konrad Laimer and Ismael Saibari were not great.
  • In the 53rd minute, Kane got his goal to make it 5-0, leaving RB Leipzig dumbstruck.
  • It is difficult to fully assess much about Bayern Munich, other than the fact that they were wholly dominant. RB Leipzig never had a chance.
  • Díaz sealed his hat-trick in the 69th minute when Tom Bischof fed him the ball following a short corner. Dribbling laterally, Díaz tucked the ball just inside the far post for his third goal.
  • RB Leipzig’s impressive youngster, Andrija Maksimović, put the visitors on the board before the final whistle, but it was little consolation for Die Roten Bullen.
  • Overall, Bayern Munich was sensational. The Bavarians dominated from start to finish and never let RB Leipzig get its bearings. This was just the type of performance needed after consecutive draws. On to Arsenal!

Bayern Munich is hoping that Michael Olise stays put and inks a contract extension to stay in Bavaria for, well, forever.

Okay, maybe not forever, but definitely for a while. However, if Olise decides he wants to leave, the Frenchmanwould prefer a move to Spain rather than England:

✅It is TRUE: Michael Olise prefers the possibility of a move to Spain. I don’t think a return to the Premier League is impossible. He played for Crystal Palace and there are other clubs that would be very interesting for him. However, it is Real Madrid that he is excited about and Real Madrid are excited about him. There were many articles in Spain covering the topic this week. El Nacional claimed that Olise is no longer a topic in the Spanish capital, as Real are focusing on Erling Haaland if Manchester City are forced to sell players pending the outcome of an appeal against their 114 charges of alleged financial misconduct. AS, who I think are much closer to the club, said that Michael Olise is still the top target. They will try and they will wait until Bayern Munich make a move. If FC Bayern can give the French international a new contract, then they’re out. But they want to push to sign the player and hope that he won’t extend his terms at the Allianz Arena.

I can say that Bayern Munich still have to beware of Real Madrid. But you also have to see if Manchester City come in with a good offer for the 24-year-old, as this could also be an interesting option for him.

Bayern Munich star Harry Kane was named to UEFA’s official Champions League Team of the Week.

Bayern Munich has been linked to Manchester United phenom JJ Gabriel, and the youngster could make a decision on his future soon:

Wantaway Manchester United teenager JJ Gabriel’s next destination will be revealed soon, reports Spanish newspaper Diario Sport, with Real Madrid and Barcelona the clear frontrunners over Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich. The 16-year-old is still training alone in a town just outside Barcelona as he looks for a move away from United. His agent, Ali Barat, has compiled the offers from clubs interested in Gabriel. Madrid are willing to accept the terms presented by the player and agent, which would see the deal come to €10 million and include a three-year contract plus various bonuses, although there are more uncertainties when it comes to Barça.

Florian Wirtz did something positive! For at least a few days, the Liverpool attacker will not catch flack from the media or the club’s fans.

Wirtz did not score any goals, but he made a massive impact against Brentford, creating 9 chances from open play—the most by a player in a Premier League game this season, and the most by a player in an away game since Samir Nasri against Spurs in August 2011:

Manchester City star Erling Haaland became the fastest player to hit 100 non-penalty goals in the history of the Premier League, reaching the milestone in just 139 appearances.
