Raiders named potential fits for two wide receivers at trade deadline

With the trade deadline for the 2026 NFL season fast approaching, the NFL media have speculated on the possible destinations for some players.

As such, ESPN’s Matt Bowen and Jeremy Fowler created a list of 25 players who will likely switch teams at or before the deadline, while naming their potential team fits. The Raiders showed up as a possible destination for two wide receivers.

While the Raiders are fourth in passing yards per game (269) after Week 7, much of those yards came when they were already down big. Likewise, there is a pressing need to address their wideout rotation, especially when three of their top four receivers are running back Ashton Jeanty and tight ends Michael Mayer and Brock Bowers.

Browns WR Jerry Jeudy named trade fit for Raiders

Though Bowen and Fowler listed the Raiders as a potential fit for Jeudy, they predict only a 20 percent chance he will be traded.

"Jeudy is part of the Browns' three-receiver sets and the veteran in that room for a good team in the playoff hunt. That dynamic diminishes his chances of being dealt. But as always, teams are looking for receiver help."

In addition to the Raiders, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Washington Commanders were also identified as potential fits for Jeudy.

The former Alabama standout can be an explosive target, as proven by his 1,229 receiving yards in 2024. However, he has only 16 receptions for 171 yards and 0 touchdowns this season. In comparison, his teammate, Denzel Boston, has 20 receptions for 372 yards and three touchdowns.

Chargers WR Quentin Johnston named trade fit for Raiders

Meanwhile, the Raiders, as well as the San Francisco 49ers and the Pittsburgh Steelers, were identified as a potential fit for wide receiver Quentin Johnston.

“Teams have considered Johnston a trade candidate dating back to March. The Chargers shut that down at the time and even exercised his fifth-year option. But the Chargers' 0-6 plight is resurfacing his name in league circles."

The former first-round pick only has eight catches for 165 yards in five games for the winless Chargers. Fowler and Bowen gave a 25 percent chance of him being traded.
