Ipswich Town - Fin Barbrook enjoying Falkirk loan spell

The 21-year-old joined the Bairns for the 2026/27 season in August and has since started all ten matches for John McGlynn side, who are currently sitting sixth in the table.

Barbrook has impressed at the Falkirk Stadium, having experienced playing at Celtic Park and coming up against fellow Scottish giants Rangers so far.

“I’m loving it,” He told the Falkirk Herald. “In every kind of team it takes a little bit of time to settle, but I think I’m fully settled now.

“I’m loving having the manager’s trust and I love that the manager can feel like he can trust me in different positions."

The Southwold-born schemer operated in an unfamiliar number 10 role in Falkirk's 3-0 home win over Kilmarnock last weekend.

“It is something that I haven’t really done before,” he admitted. “But I had an idea earlier on in the week that I was going to be playing there and I really enjoyed it.

“I think as long as I’m playing on the pitch, I don’t really mind where I play, I just try to be as effective as I possibly could and work as hard as I possibly could."

Barbrook has been at Town since the age of six, making his senior for the Blues in the Carabao Cup tie at Bromley last season.

He has previously had spells on loan at Chelmsford City, Sutton United, Lincoln City and Colchester United.
