Where Michael Penix Jr. ranks statistically after Week 6

Stats can be misleading, and Michael Penix Jr.'s line from this week's loss to the Chicago Bears is a good example. On paper, he had a great game, posting 225 passing yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions and a passer rating of 108.8.

Unfortunately, most of those numbers came once the Atlanta Falcons were trailing the Bears by 24 points in the fourth quarter. Penix did a good job to get the team back in the game late, but his early struggles against the blitz were tough to overcome.

Nevertheless, Penix's production still looks pretty good through four starts this season. Let's see where he ranks in some key quarterback stats going into Week 7.

Next on the schedule is a tough test for Penix and the Falcons. The San Francisco 49ers are allowing just 209.8 passing yards per game, the 12th-fewest in the league. Just six teams have allowed fewer fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season.
