Pakistan has been hosting a tri-series with Sri Lanka and England. However, England have endured a disappointing campaign so far, losing all three of their matches in the tournament. Amidst this, there has been some funny banter that has taken place on social media between two former cricketers, former Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad and current England mentor Kevin Pietersen.
Recently, the two sides met in a low-scoring thriller where Shadab Khan pulled off a brilliant innings as he scored a century in the low-scoring run chase to help his side to get the win when the chips were down, as the Men in Green won the match by one wicket and handed the Three Lions their third loss of the tri-series.
On social media, Ahmed Shehzad commented on a photo of Kevin Pietersen, who is probably enjoying his vacation in South Africa. Shehzad commented, replying to a story in a funny way that the latter should spend more time with his team, as his team has been hammered in Pakistan, and Kevin also gave a funny reply to it.

Shehzad commented, "Spend some time with your team. They are getting hammered in Pakistan." In reply to it, Pietersen said, "I was coming till I heard you're there! I didn't want to deal with your drama whilst there."
Kevin Pietersen has been appointed as a specialist mentor for the England men's white-ball cricket team. It is the role that marked his first involvement with the English setup since his international career ended in 2014. He has been working with Brendon McCullum, who is the head coach of the side; under him, the side has done well in recent times.
His role excludes an October ODI tri-series in Pakistan, which is one of the reasons he has not been in Pakistan for the ongoing series and is enjoying his holidays. Kevin Pietersen was there in the home ODI series against Sri Lanka; under him, some of the Three Lions batters exploded in the series and played some amazing innings.
England scored 241 runs in the last game, with Ben Duckett scoring a hundred for the side. They nearly had the match; at one stage, Pakistan were 131/8, and from there all-rounder Shadab Khan pulled off the impossible as he played a knock of 113 runs.
Shadab pulled off the match from 154/9; he played most of the deliveries, and he was supported by Haris Rauf, who was unbeaten with the score of 7 off 19 deliveries. This portrayed the whole innings of how Shadab handled the innings and pulled the game for his side.
The three Lions have lost all three matches, but still have a slight chance of qualifying for the final. Firstly, they would want Sri Lanka to lose their match against Pakistan on Tuesday.
A win for the Lankan Lions will end England’s campaign for the tri-series. The other scenario is that if Sri Lanka lose, then England will have to win by a huge margin over the Island Nation to go over their run rate.
