Colts make another trade, sending DeForest Buckner to NFC

The sell-off continues for the Indianapolis Colts. After trading Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, the Colts are now reportedly trading DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers, where his career began.

In return, according to Tom Pelissero, the Colts are receiving a 2027 fourth-round draft pick.

Like Nelson, Buckner is a veteran player in the final year of his deal, which made him a prime trade candidate.

He is also continuing to play at a high level, affecting both the run and passing games. Entering Week 8, he has the 15th most quarterback pressures of any defensive tackle in football.

Buckner was a first-round pick by the 49ers in 2016 and was traded to Indianapolis after the 2019 season.
