After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Rio Ferdinand has called on INEOS to address the Man Utd fans over the current situation at the club, with Michael Carrick on the verge of being sacked.
The Red Devils have had their worst start to the season in over 40 years after falling to a 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon, which means they have won just two of their opening 12 games in all competitions, and are winless in their last eight.
Carrick is expected to be sacked imminently as a result of those performances and results, and the board have held crisis talks at Carrington on Monday morning to discuss the next steps and plans going forward.
But many fans have grown sick of the regime in charge at the club, with chants against Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Jason Wilcox, Omar Berrada and the players during the game against Bournemouth, while supporters chanted in support of Carrick as he left the pitch emotionally.
So far INEOS have not publicly addressed the situation, but fans have pointed out that when the team was on a winning run last season, Wilcox was doing public interviews and Ratcliffe tends to come out in the public eye more.
Now, speaking on his podcast after the game, club legend Rio Ferdinand called on the board and ownership to address the fans and explain what is going on behind the scenes, amid chaos on the pitch.
"I think INEOS need to come out and speak, because the fans deserve that," he said.
"They deserve to know what's going on underneath the bonnet at their football club. And address some of the big talking points that have been going on. Like discipline within the changing room, what's the culture at this football club? What's the direction?
"Just changing manager and being quiet isn't, I don't think, going to resolve this situation, whether he starts well or whatever. You get the new manager bounce.
"The fans need to hear INEOS. They need to be accountable. They can't be a faceless operation within this, in these types of situations."
When INEOS took over, they claimed they were looking to be the 'best in class' in every department, including on the pitch. But that has simply not been true, and their actions have made it clear that was just a facade.
They have looked for the cheap option in the majority of instances, including appointing Carrick when there were a number of top managers available during the summer.
They have not been ruthless enough, they have penny-pinched everywhere, and they haven't delivered on their promises. Fans have called them out on it, and now club legends are beginning to see through them too.
If INEOS are brave enough to address the fans with their failings and explain things, it would go a long way to helping repair that relationship. But in reality, the sooner they leave Man Utd the better, and they should take the Glazers with them.
