During the first NFL regular-season game held in Paris, Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers escaped with a 16-10 win over the New Orleans Saints. The Saints gave the Steelers a fight, although Pittsburgh struggled a lot during the game.
This did not sit well with Breiden Fehoko, who signed with but never played for the Steelers, who had a Twitter argument with another user over the game. Fehoko said that the Steelers’ late arrival in France could cost them the game. However, fans called him out over this, leading him to tell the fan that the Steelers could have blown the Saints out, but it instead turned into an “ugly showdown.”
“The Steelers got into an ugly showdown with the 2-4 Saints today and escaped because Tyler Shough is an international terrorist. This should’ve been a blowout,” he argued.
The Steelers released Fehoko in 2025, with the DT announcing his retirement not long after. He is best known for his time with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Both the Steelers and Saints struggled offensively, with both quarterbacks not doing well. Aaron Rodgers completed 19 of 30 passes for 212 yards with one touchdown, while Tyler Shough completed 30 of 38 for 278 yards, one touchdown and one costly interception.
Meanwhile, even though Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers struggled against the Saints, he still made history twice in just one play. His one and only touchdown pass of the game, a 4-yard toss to Darnell Washington, was historic because it was the first NFL touchdown on French soil.
The pass was also historic on a personal level for Rodgers, as this now gets him past Peyton Manning in all-time touchdown passes with 540. Only Tom Brady and Drew Brees are ahead of him.
