The first half of the Week 7 NFL regular season game between the Baltimore Ravens and the visiting Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday went the way of the visitors.
As the Ravens dominated the first half 13-0 against toothless Cincinnati, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s performance was dissected.
The Bengals signal-caller started slowly, completing just 3 of 9 passes for 19 yards. As the NFL world hoped for Burrow to pick up momentum, the quarterback completed the first half just 6 of 12 for 43 yards. That prompted fans online to criticize the quarterback.
“(Joe) Burrow is washed,” a fan wrote.
For the Cincinnati Bengals to overcome the 13-point deficit in the second half, it’s imperative that quarterback Joe Burrow find his rhythm soon.
Despite a rough start against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been consistent this season.
In the previous five games, the three-time Pro Bowler threw for 1,361 yards along with 11 passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown.
The quarterback was 135 of 189 (71.4%). With just three interceptions to his name, Burrow occupies the seventh spot in the ESPN quarterback rankings with a quarterback rating of 73.7.
