The Denver Broncos have activated rookie running back Jonah Coleman (ankle) from injured reserve to the 53-man roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals, the team announced.
Denver had room for Coleman on the active roster after placing Tyler Badie (thumb) on injured reserve, ruling him out for at least the next four games.
Coleman (5-8, 220 pounds) was picked by the Broncos in the fourth round of this year's NFL draft out of Washington. He totaled 58 yards from scrimmage and scored a touchdown in Week 2 while playing most of the game on a sprained ankle. After the severity of Coleman's injury was discovered after the game, he landed on IR.
Coleman is now healthy and back on the active roster to serve as the team's third-string running back behind J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey. Denver's set to face the Cardinals on the road this weekend.
