Jamie Houston resigned from the role on Saturday, October 17, following a 1-0 league defeat to Glasgow University.

It ends a brief stint in the dugout for Houston, who first took on the post in June this year.

He took the reins following the departure of previous management duo Stephen Connelly and Peter Campbell over the summer.

His time at the helm proved to be challenging, with Dalry currently sitting in second last position in the WoSFL Second Division.

From nine league matches so far this season, the Garnock Valley outfit have picked up one win and one draw, losing their other seven fixtures.

Cup competitions have also proved a struggle, with Dalry exiting the South Challenge, Scottish Junior and League cups in their opening ties.

The search is now on for a new boss to come in as the club looks to avoid relegation this season.

A statement said: "The club would like to thank Jamie for his hard work and commitment and wish him all the very best.

"Dalry Thistle FC are inviting applications for the position of first team manager.
