Gimme Him: One player New York Giants would steal from Houston Texans

The New York Giants (3-2-1) will travel to Texas this Sunday for a Week 7 matchup against the Houston Texans (2-4).

With that, it provides us here at Giants Wire the opportunity to hypothetically steal some talent from the Texans' roster in hopes of addressing some pressing needs for Big Blue.

It's been an eventful season for the Giants thus far, and while they've shown flashes of potential, there are still areas of the roster that could use some attention. One of those positions is wide receiver, where adding another explosive playmaker alongside Malik Nabers could give the offense a much-needed boost.

That makes Texans wide receiver Jaylin Noel an intriguing option. Of course, adding the likes of Will Anderson or Nico Collins would be ideal, but we're trying to look a little deeper here.

Noel, a third-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft, has started to emerge as a big-play threat during his second NFL season. Through six games in 2026, the Iowa State product has recorded 17 receptions for 334 yards and two touchdowns on 21 targets.

His 19.6 yards per reception ranks among the more impressive averages for a receiver with his workload, highlighting his ability to generate explosive plays without needing a high volume of targets.

Noel's recent performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars only strengthened his case. He hauled in all four of his targets for 107 yards and a touchdown in Houston's 34-31 victory, including a 50-yard reception. It marked his second consecutive game with a touchdown and his second 80-yard receiving performance in three weeks.

The Giants could use that kind of explosiveness in their passing attack. While Nabers provides a primary receiving option, Noel could offer versatility by lining up inside or outside, creating opportunities to attack defenses underneath or stretch the field vertically.

With Nabers and rookie Malachi Fields primarily on the outside, Noel's speed and ability to turn limited opportunities into substantial gains would give New York another way to generate explosive plays.

Of course, Noel remains a developing receiver, and his relatively modest target volume suggests there is still room for growth. Houston also has little reason to part with a young receiver who is beginning to establish himself in the offense.

What say you, Giants fans? Would you steal Jaylin Noel from the Texans, or is there another Houston player you'd rather see in blue?
