A 1-1 draw against Walsall on Saturday made it six games without a win for Swindon, with the team struggling to deal with the number of injuries that they have sustained.
Finding the back of the net has been a particular struggle, with Aaron Drinan’s goal only their second in that run of six matches, and Holloway switched formations for the game to try to improve their struggles in that area.
Even if results have not been going their way and the performances have not been at the level they want, Holloway said that he sees his players giving all that they have for the team.
He said: “I thought their goal didn't dent us as much as I thought it would, and I was delighted with the effort, and we broke away, and we could have scored from those situations.
“That's better than we've been. So, that's what they're hearing from me.
“Obviously, I've seen my teams look much slicker, much smoother, but that's not happening at the moment.
“What we’ve got to do is dig in, and I thought every single one of them boys fought like a dying tiger to stay alive.
“We're going to need some help with that at times. That's what I believe we are getting from the right people who want to come again on Tuesday night. That's all I'm asking.
“I thought there were so many last-ditch challenges that were marvellous, showing everything that they feel about the club. I can't ask for any more. I didn't see that over recent performances; I felt that waned away a little bit.
“There were loads of things wrong with it. I want us to be slicker, smoother, but I'm going to support them until I can't breathe anymore, and that's all I've ever done.
“I'll make you believe in yourself more than you ever dreamed you could, and that's what I endeavour to do.”
Connor Ripley previously said that the whole squad would “run through a brick wall” for their manager, and still firmly believe that he is the right man to get them out of their struggles.
Holloway said that the position he is in with injuries is making life harder for the team, but he just needed the players to display that kind of commitment to get through it.
He said: “The relative injury situation, that's why I talk about it, is leaving me bereft of being able to choose things that make their game a lot easier.
“It's not an excuse. I'm not even talking about it. It's just common sense. So dig in, lads, let's fight for each other.
“You might have to do this, you might have to do that, you might have to go there, but make sure we're doing it together.”
