As the India National Cricket Team has already won the 5-match T20I series against New Zealand, winning the first three back-to-back matches of the tour, the team can now consider changes in the playing eleven for the fourth match, as former Team India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin opined in his YouTube video.

Ashwin, in his latest YouTube video, has discussed how the Indian cricket team could shape their playing playing for the fourth match of the series, which will be played on October 30 at Eden Park in Auckland.

Team India could make changes in their playing XI for the 4th T20I vs New Zealand

According to the spin bowling legend, the Indian cricket team should consider some shuffles in their bowling department, as some players are yet to play in the series. Veteran spinners like Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy have not played a single match in the series so far.

The former cricketer noted that the remaining two matches will be on smaller grounds. Therefore, the team may not want to risk deploying both of them in the fourth and fifth matches. But at least one change in the pace attack is possible, as Ravichandran Ashwin mentioned.

The return of Bhuvneshwar Kumar to the India National Cricket Team has not been up to mark, as the experienced swing bowler has been very expensive in all three matches. Ashwin, in his advice, told the Indian team management to bench Kumar and play Mayank Yadav or any of the spinners who have not played in the contest so far.

"We can also rotate the way New Zealand are doing. But before you look to do that, we must keep in mind that the first two games were on a big ground where you could have used spinners. In the third T20I, even New Zealand's spinners were of no use," Ashwin expressed on 'Ash ki Baat'.

"In the next two games, the grounds will be even smaller. So I am not sure if spinners can play there. But the way Bhuvi has bowled, a spinner or Mayank might take his place, and I will not be surprised," he added.

In the same YouTube video, another former Team India cricketer and spinner, Rahul Sharma, reckoned that the team management should play either Kuldeep Yadav or Varun Chakravarthy, replacing the spin-bowling all-rounder Axar Patel. Despite having the threats of considering too many runs on smaller grounds, Rahul emphasizes on the game times of each players.

"I think either Kuldeep or Varun can be played in place of Axar. But I feel the preparation is also necessary. Even though T20 has changed a lot, if you bowl good balls, the batters can still be troubled. If you are well prepared, you will not be as scared or clueless. You will get hit anyway, but at least you will have a plan in that scenario," Rahul Sharma said.
