The Lions made the perfect start, taking a 1-0 lead into half-time after some brilliant early wing-play by Amir Berchil forced an own-goal.

Cleethorpes then equalised in the 68th minute through a Josh Walker penalty, but Guiseley held their nerve to bounce back brilliantly.

Cam Wilson struck the winner just four minutes later from the edge of the box to secure the Lions a crucial 2-1 victory.

The result lifts Guiseley to third in the table on 28 points, with a game in hand on second-placed Cleethorpes.

With nine wins from their opening 13 league matches, the Lions are firmly in the promotion mix and building impressive momentum.
