The biggest game on Florida football's schedule every season — regardless of how things have gone — is the annual rivalry matchup with the Georgia Bulldogs. The series dates back to 1915, with the two schools facing off a total of 103 times over the years.
This fall, UF-UGA is among Sports Illustrated programming editor Zach Koons' 15 college football games he is most excited to watch in the second half of the 2026-27 campaign, joining many marquee matchups he marked for our viewing pleasure.
"The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party is an annual treat and quite literally will be exactly that this year on Halloween afternoon in Atlanta. It will also be the first time these two teams meet as ranked opponents since 2020, as Gators coach Jon Sumrall seems to have restored some momentum in Gainesville," Koons begins.
"Georgia has won eight of the last nine meetings and dominated most of those outings, but it’s hard to see this year’s Florida team getting blown off the ball. The Gators, led by running back Jadan Baugh, have come back down to Earth after a 4–0 start, and yet still managed to go into Austin and beat Texas while starting their backup quarterback," Koons offers.
"There’s no reason they couldn’t do the same against a vulnerable, and slightly more desperate Georgia, coming off of its own surprise loss to Auburn."
The two bitter rivals will face off on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ABC.
