Councillor Ben Shirley asked why progress had stalled and why pitches were not being delivered.

He said Barrow had a European champion in Georgia Stanway and the Football Association has a campaign to name pitches after each Lioness.

He said Barrow 'fell short'.

The chair Cllr Tony Callister said he had spoken to someone from the Football Foundation and would chase the pitch identified at Schneider Road. He said he would raise it with the Director of Planning and Regeneration.
