An NFL sidelines can be an awfully scary place to work. You have massive human beings colliding at full speed, and the crowded sidelines can lead to some terrifying impacts.
And when that happens, so often we see the players carry on with the game as if another person wasn't just on the wrong end of a sideline collision.
The Atlanta Falcons, though, set a great example on Sunday.
After Kyle Pitts gave the Falcons a second-half lead against the 49ers, the play carried Malik Mustapha into someone holding a parabolic microphone on the sidelines. The hard collision was incredibly scary. And instead of immediately celebrating the touchdown, Pitts, Drake London, Michael Penix Jr. and Austin Hooper checked on the staffer.
For as hard as the collision was, the microphone operator did appear to be OK.
Good on the Falcons offense, though, for caring about someone potentially in need. Mustapha — who ran into the staffer — walked away with his back turned to her.
