Today, AC Milan have confirmed that Strahinja Pavlovic has penned a new deal which will see his contract expire in 2031.
With Milan returning to a three-man defence, Pavlovic’s growth has been meteoric. The Serbian arrived at San Siro to questions of his ability and they remained for the majority of his first season, but the Rossoneri opted to place faith in him; faith which was enhanced by Massimiliano Allegri.
Under the Italian, Pavlovic was a key player, featuring heavily in the 2025-26 campaign and under Ruben Amorim, his playing time hasn’t changed so far. It seems unlikely to change, even with a potential switch back to a four-man defence.
The confirmation was anticipated on Tuesday afternoon, with reports suggesting that a deal had been agreed after Pavlovic was seen entering Casa Milan. Now, those reports have been confirmed by the club on their website, accompanied by the following statement.
“AC Milan is pleased to announce that Strahinja Pavlović has signed a contract extension until 30 June 2031, with an option to extend,” it reads.
“Since joining the Rossoneri in July 2024, Strahinja has continued to grow, establishing himself as a point of reference through his professionalism, charisma and leadership, as well as the strong sense of belonging that distinguishes him both on and off the pitch.
“Pavlović has made 80 appearances for AC Milan, 75 of them as a starter, and scored 7 goals. This contract extension builds on the journey that began two years ago and lays the foundations for the future, reflecting the ambition to continue moving forward together and achieve new milestones.”
