The New Level’s run as AEW World Trios Champions ended at WrestleDream 2026. Hangman Adam Page, Brody King, and Bandido won back the titles after defeating Swerve Strickland, Austin Creed, and Kofi in a two-out-of-three falls match.
The New Level and Swerve Strickland entered WrestleDream with immense momentum. They had successfully defended their championships since winning the titles at All In. However, their rivalry with Hangman Page, Brody King, and Bandido proved to be a much bigger challenge.
The match started with Austin Creed and Bandido before the action shifted to Page and Strickland. The two longtime rivals had clashed several times in the weeks leading up to WrestleDream, and their bad blood remained a major part of the match.
The New Level eventually took control. Creed helped Kofi hit Bandido with a leg drop and an elbow drop. The combination left Bandido in trouble, allowing Kofi to pin him and give his team the first fall.
The second phase began.
Strickland tried to extend his team’s lead by hitting Bandido with a Swerve Stomp. However, Page stepped in and turned his attention to his longtime rival.
Page hit Strickland with a clothesline and went for a Buckshot Lariat. Strickland avoided the move, but Page eventually caught him with a Dead Eye. The New Level then pulled Strickland out of the ring before Page could get the pin.
Page then hit Strickland with a Buckshot Lariat, while King helped Bandido hit a standing 450 Splash on Creed. Bandido then pinned Creed to tie the match at one fall each.
With the score even, both teams had everything to fight for in the final fall.
Both teams started trading big moves inside and outside the ring. Kofi and Creed briefly took control by attacking their opponents near the barricades.
Bandido and Creed exchanged near-falls, while King and Page repeatedly stepped in to stop the champions from getting the deciding pin. At one point, Bandido hit a Spanish Fly on both Kofi and Creed.
Strickland tried to shift the momentum by going after Page. The match eventually came down to Bandido and Strickland.
Strickland tried to set up a JML Driver, but Bandido escaped and rolled him up for the three-count. The pinfall secured the final fall, making Hangman Page, Brody King, and Bandido the new AEW World Trios Champions.
