Ultimate Padel Club Colchester will open on Axial Way on Saturday, October 31, after more than two years of planning and development.

Toby Long, co-founder of the club, said: "We are opening on Saturday, October 31 as a soft launch with a celebration to come mid November once all works are completely finished.

"We’re really excited to start welcoming people to play at the club after what feels like a very long time in planning (over two years)."

"We have put the alcohol license in to enhance our offering around the social side of the sport and encourage our players to hang around for a bit after their game and build relationships off the court as well.

"We’re planning alcohol free beers as well for those that will be driving.

The team behind the club first came together as a group of friends who played regularly at their local padel court and grew into a larger community over time.

Their passion for the sport took them to Roland Garros in 2024 to watch Premier Padel, where the idea for their own club began to take shape.

Ultimate Padel Club Colchester is the result of nearly two years of planning, designing, and development.

The club can be found at Easter Park, Axial Way, Colchester, CO4 5WY.
