PSG’s home 4-2 win over FC Barcelona for Matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League came at a high cost. Left-winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has sustained an ACL tear in his right knee, Les Parisiens confirmed this Wednesday morning. The Georgian winger will undergo surgery in the next few days. Kvaratskhelia was not the only player to have exited the Parc des Princes pitch in bad shape as Ousmane Dembélé and Marquinhos also sustained injuries against Los Blaugranes.

Dembélé pulled out early into the first half while chasing a ball. PSG have confirmed that the Ballon d’Or winner sustained a left thigh injury and that he will remain under treatment for the next weeks. The same goes for Marquinhos. The Brazilian centre-back is also set for weeks on the sidelines after picking up a right thain strain in the second half against Hansi Flick’s La Liga champions.
