Manchester United have still only registered one victory this season in the Premier League after eight fixtures. Their latest defeat came at the hands of Bournemouth.

Michael Carrick was under incredible pressure entering the clash and now this will have intensified after this result.

Fans appear to have had enough of the Man United legend, and are calling for the club to replace him, with one name being on the lips of the fans.

Manchester United fans name their Michael Carrick replacement

Time appears to be running out for Carrick at Man United, after this latest defeat to Bournemouth.

Fans are finding it tough to watch their team under the former Middlesbrough manager, questioning his selection and tactics. His latest major decision was to start club captain Bruno Fernandes on the bench after his comments after their defeat to Como in the Champions League.

The question now turns to who can replace Carrick at the helm.

Antonio Conte, Julian Nagelsmann, Unai Emery, Eddie Howe, and Fabian Hurzeler have all been mentioned following their defeat to Como.

However, fans have taken to social media to share that the only man for the job is Antonio Conte.

One supporter said: “Conte is the only one among the mentioned coaches who knows how to play conservatively with a mid squad and produce some results. Howe would be a disaster; Nagelsmann will hate these players.”

Another added: “Outside of Unai Emery, the only one who can get a tune out of this completely demoralized team is Conte. Anyone else it is going to be a relegation battle; this is not the time for experiments like Nagelsman.”

While a fan wrote: “Ineos more useless than glazers. Prev board would never let us slip to 17th before doing the needful, Carrick is worse than Amorim. Now they will replace him with another Yes man that's just another Carrick. Get Conte or just liquidate.”

Antonio Conte is a wanted man

Man United are not the only giant on the European continent that is currently struggling to meet their expectations.

Juventus have been struggling this season under Luciano Spalletti in Serie A, and there is a thought that the Old Lady could be searching for a replacement over the next couple of weeks.

The Italian side are sitting 11^th in Serie A ahead of their clash with Lecce, 11 points off Inter Milan, who are top of the division.

Juventus have not lifted the title since 2020, and have had to watch their rivals Inter dominate the past few seasons, while Napoli and AC Milan also collected a league title in this period.

Now, former Juventus player Arturo Vidal stated in an interview with Gazzetta Dello Sport that the club should go after Conte to return them to the top of Italian football.

He played under Conte, Pep Guardiola, and Carlo Ancelotti but named the Italian as the best tactically from the trio.

This is something United needs fixing, and so he would be a desirable option, but they face competition for his signature with Juventus.
