For many of the Carolina Panthers faithful, the 2015 season is unparalleled.
That year's squad, led by Most Valuable Player Cam Newton, romped (and dabbed) their way to a dominant 15-1 regular season and the organization's second-ever NFC championship. While they ultimately came up short in a heartbreaking Super Bowl 50 loss, the team made so many magical memories that fans will never forget.
But 11 years later, some new memories (and marks) have been made.
With their 25-14 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, the 2026 Panthers have now scored a total of 146 points on the campaign. Those 146 points are now the most in franchise history through the first five games of a season—surpassing their 135 from 2015.
The unit is being led by another No. 1 overall pick, Bryce Young. Young, in the hard-fought victory, became the first quarterback since 2013 (Peyton Manning and Drew Brees) to pass for at least 280 yards and a touchdown in each of his team's first five outings.
Even in what was considered an ugly win, at least depending on who you talk to, Carolina still churned out 399 total yards and three touchdowns against a tough Eagles defense.
Their latest output has them averaging 29.2 points and 404.4 yards per game. By comparison, the 2015 NFC champs finished averaging 31.3 points and 366.9 yards.
