Ure grabbed his first goal for his new club last week in La Liga and is second in the European Golden Boot standings, after his goalscoring exploits in Sweden with Sirius.
He faces a daunting trip to the Bernabeu as Sevilla prepare to face Real Madrid and he looks certain to lead the line for his club.
And Plaza revealed he now sees the former Rangers and Anderlecht star as a different player.
He said: "Robbie is not really a penalty box striker.
"The other day he could have scored more goals, he had two chances, one of them a clear one. He has to keep working the same way.
"But he brings different things to the table. He's not such a typical penalty box striker.
"It took me until I got to know him to realise this because when a new signing is brought in, you only see them a little bit when the sports director recommends them.
"He is a player who offers other qualities, he lays the ball off well, shoots well and is able to turn.
"He can also play as a second striker if we change tactics."
