Aalyah Mysterio has made an appearance on WWE NXT following her recent signing as a recruit at the WWE Performance Center.
The daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio was spotted during the October 20 episode, offering fans an early glimpse of her potential future in the company.
Aalyah appeared during a backstage segment involving members of the NXT women’s locker room.
While she didn’t speak or compete, her presence attracted attention after WWE confirmed her entry into the developmental system.
The segment aired ahead of the singles match between Layla Diggs and Izzi Dame. The two women exchanged words backstage, with Aalyah among the other talent present as the confrontation unfolded.
The segment eventually led to Dame facing Diggs in the ring. Izzi Dame picked up the victory. Aalyah, however, remained a presence in the background and did not become directly involved in the confrontation or the match.
Her appearance comes after WWE announced her as part of its latest group of Performance Center recruits in September. Although she is new to formal wrestling training, she has appeared on WWE television before, joining her father and brother Dominik Mysterio during their storyline with Seth Rollins in 2020.
Rey recently provided an update on his daughter’s progress at the Performance Center, explaining that she was roughly a month into training. He said she “picks up very fast,” while noting that learning the many aspects of wrestling can sometimes leave her frustrated. Nevertheless, Rey revealed she was enjoying the experience.
Aalyah’s latest appearance marks a small step as she begins learning the business from the inside. Her family name is already familiar to WWE fans, but developing her own identity in the ring will take time and training.
For now, WWE has not announced a match or a larger on-screen role for Aalyah. Her NXT appearance puts her in the mix, but fans will have to wait to see when she takes the next step from the locker room to the squared circle.
