It's been a productive start to the season for Jacksonville Jaguars running back Bhayshul Tuten.
Through six games, Tuten has totaled 388 rushing yards at 4.1 yards per rush with two touchdowns. The blocking around Tuten isn't always perfect, but what has led to his early-season success is his ability to make defenders miss.
Bringing impressive speed to the NFL level out of Virginia Tech in 2025, Tuten has proven difficult to bring down, totaling the third-most missed tackles among running backs this season, according to PFF.
Tuten packs some physicality as well, ranking seventh among backs in average yards after contact.
This ability to maximize the yardage that is available and find hidden yardage by making defenders miss is what can differentiate running backs.
Having a steady run game to lean on is an important element when it comes to making the Liam Coen offense go, and Tuten has helped provide that.
