Aaron Danks says Bayern Munich are still waiting on Vincent Kompany's recovery
Bayern Munich assistant coach Aaron Danks does not know whether Vincent Kompany will be on the touchline against Arsenal.
The Belgian, who skipped training and his press conference on Tuesday due to illness, has been struck down with a virus which has affected his legs.
Danks said when quizzed on his involvement: "Yeah, it's difficult to say. It has affected his legs at times and he's felt some pain in his legs. I'm not sure about the reports that he was lying down on the couch. I think we can all lie down on the couch after a game sometimes. It's just a virus.
"The doctors, the experts know way more than I do. Like I said, the most important thing that we just encourage is that he rests, he takes the time that he needs, whatever that may be, however long that may be. Unfortunately, I can't give you any more whether that's tomorrow or whether that's two, three days' time."

Danks, formerly of Anderlecht, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough, has also confirmed that Kompany will be involved in some capacity - even if it's via telephone from home.
He added: "Getting Vincent to rest is a difficult challenge. But yeah, so he's at home, he's resting. We take it day by day, so I'm still unsure of his involvement tomorrow.
"But we're in constant communication. We discussed training today, the type of work, the meetings and stuff like that. So I'm in constant dialogue with him.
"He'll play his role, he'll play his part in the game. Whether that's at the Allianz or not at the Allianz, we have to wait and see at this moment."
Vincent Kompany has been struck down with a virus and he's been resting since Bayern Munich's 6-1 demolition of RB Leipzig
The Englishman took charge of Bayern in last season's Champions League semi-final first-leg defeat at PSG (5-4) in the absence of Kompany, so has prior experience on the touchline in this competition.
Danks also confirmed that Joshua Kimmich missed Bayern's final training session due to personal reasons and added that still no decision had been taken on whether he'd be involved in the game.
He explained: "Yeah, with Joshua, unfortunately, it's just personal reasons. I'm not sure at the moment what that means moving into tomorrow, but, yeah, he's just away for personal reasons."
Danks also noted that it still wasn't guaranteed that Manuel Neuer would start, even if he's come through training in the past two days, explaining: "No decision has been made yet, so Manuel has been on the grass for the last two days, which is fantastic.
"We'll meet as a coaching team afterwards, we'll speak to Vince, we'll talk to the coaches and we'll have those conversations. But at the moment, no decision has been made. But yeah, it's nice to have Manuel back on the grass with us."
