Mickey Gall has received medical clearance after being pulled from a UFC fight week in late September.
Mickey Gall has been cleared and he already has his next UFC fight on the books.
At UFC Fight Night 292, Gall (7-7 MMA, 6-7 UFC) will battle Zach Reese (10-4 MMA, 4-4 UFC) in a three-round middleweight bout. The event takes place Oct. 31 at Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Gall, 34, was expected to return from a near-two-year layoff in late September vs. Sedriques Dumas, but was pulled from the bout days prior as he did not receive medical clearance. It appears that issue has been rectified, however, and Gall is back focused on his mission of snapping his current four-fight losing skid.
Reese, 32, also looks to get back on track. Since a win over Jackson McVey in November, Reese has lost back-to-back fights to Michel Pereira and Ryan Gandra.
