Florida State has extended an offer to 2027 edge from Georgia

2027 edge Nasir Braxton plays football at Decatur High School in Decatur, Georgia. Back in August, the physically imposing 6-foot-4, 230-pounder didn't have any offers on the table, but one video changed all that as his senior year kicked off.

Braxton now has 12 offers, which include the Baylor Bears and the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Per Benjamin Wolk of 247Sports, Florida State added their name to the list on Friday by offering him.

"Braxton's most recent addition brings some of the best brand-value yet: Florida State. The Seminoles had hosted on Braxton on a game day visit earlier this season. Florida State finally extended the offer on Friday," said Wolk.

Braxton is the No. 993 overall player and the No. 83 edge per the 247Sports composite rankings. He's listed as the No. 117 prospect in Georgia as well.

As far as official visits go, Braxton has three of them locked in for the rest of the season. He'll go see the East Carolina Pirates on Oct. 31, Baylor on Nov. 7, and on Nov. 28 he'll be at Oklahoma State. He has additional plans to visit the Miami Hurricanes on Nov. 14 and the USC Trojans on Nov. 21, but he's still putting those together.

FSU needs to try to get Braxton back on campus soon. They're looking to add to three-star edge commits Anthony Cavallaro and Jaxon Holly in the 2027 cycle.
