Celtic’s 7-1 victory over Hearts attracted a reported television audience of 150,000 on Sunday, just 10,000 fewer than watched Rangers draw at Dundee.
The figures shared on social media put Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Dens Park on 160,000, with Celtic’s emphatic home win narrowly behind.
@SPFLWatch @Braylon_Breeze 150k watched @CelticFC stuff @JamTarts on Sunday, marginally fewer than saw much tighter match involving the other half of the Old Firm – 160k for @RangersFC draw with @DundeeFC, boosted (a little) by evening kick-off?

See all the Celtic kick-off times and TV channels in one place.
However, there is context to consider before drawing conclusions from that comparison.
Celtic were playing at home, meaning tens of thousands of their supporters were inside Parkhead rather than watching on television.
Rangers were away at Dundee, where the smaller travelling allocation meant more of their support had to follow the match elsewhere.
The fixtures also occupied different broadcast slots, with Rangers playing in the evening and Celtic facing competition from Sunday’s Premier League schedule.
Leeds United’s meeting with Manchester United kicked off at 2pm on Sky Sports, overlapping with the opening stages of Celtic’s 3pm match.
Nottingham Forest against Arsenal then began at 4.30pm, overlapping with the closing stages at Parkhead.
The Scottish matches also developed very differently.
Rangers’ draw remained competitive, while Celtic had established a commanding 5-1 advantage by half-time.
Callum Osmand scored twice on his first professional start, with Benjamin Nygren also netting a double as the champions moved four points clear at the top.
