The U.S. men's national team will hold a training camp in December, which will conclude with a friendly against Jamaica on Dec. 13 at Inter Miami CF Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
The match will fall outside of a FIFA window, meaning head coach Mauricio Pochettino is expected to call in a roster mostly filled with MLS players.
"As we continue to build our group, this is an excellent opportunity to work with many of the MLS players and potentially see some new faces," Pochettino said in a federation release.
“Jamaica is the type of team we could see in upcoming tournaments including World Cup qualifying, so it's a great opportunity and experience for these players. Of course, we love to play in Ft. Lauderdale and to have the support of the amazing fans in the area.”
The MLS conference finals are scheduled for Dec. 11 and 12, with MLS Cup set for Dec. 18, so players participating in those matches would likely be unavailable for the December camp and Jamaica match.
The December camp will replace the team's traditional January camp, when a number of inexperienced MLS-based players are typically called in.
Many USMNT regulars have earned their first or second cap in a January match, including Tyler Adams, Brenden Aaronson, Alex Zendejas, Cristian Roldan, Max Arfsten and Tim Ream.
The U.S. will aim to carry on the momentum that it built during the September-October window, which saw the team win all four of its first post-World Cup matches.
