The recovery path for Eric Garcia has been outlined after medical assessments confirmed the expected duration of his injury.

However, concerns rippled through the Catalan fanbase following a bruising physical battle in Istanbul during the UEFA Champions League group stage fixture against Galatasaray.

With a demanding La Liga schedule looming, supporters eagerly waited to see whether the Spanish defender would face a spell on the sidelines.

The reassuring news for the Blaugrana came as the Eric Garcia injury timeline, confirmed by Barcelona medical staff, revealed that the Spaniard suffered no major structural damage and will be available for selection against Real Betis, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.

Despite sustaining a noticeable impact and swelling just below his right knee during a fierce duel with Portuguese forward Rafael Leão, post-match examinations confirmed that the issue is merely a superficial blow.

Eric García even lightheartedly dismissed the physical impact in the mixed zone, calling it a “little gift” brought home from Turkey.

From a tactical perspective, having García fit and available provides Hansi Flick with essential defensive stability.

Barcelona’s backline continues to manage rotation due to underlying fitness concerns elsewhere in the squad.

García’s press-resistant passing ability and tactical intelligence make him an ideal component for maintaining Flick’s high-line defensive structure, whether deployed at the heart of defense or covering the flank.

For Barcelona, avoiding an extended layoff for García comes as a huge relief as domestic title ambitions heat up.

The 25-year-old defender is scheduled to complete recovery protocols and join normal team workouts ahead of the weekend clash.

As Barcelona prepare to host Real Betis, Hansi Flick can count on one of his most reliable operators to maintain momentum across all competitions.
