"I don't know what was going through my head 20 years ago. I was an idiot. I wore a horrific jacket and turned up looking totally inappropriate for the occasion. That was just who I was. I did stupid things back then, and far more so in Madrid. I should have gone to prison because my behaviour was sh"t. I loved eating and going out, not training. It was entirely my fault," confessed Antonio Cassano regarding his time at Real Madrid.
Turning his attention to the present ahead of Wednesday's clash between two of his former clubs, Roma and Real Madrid, he pulled no punches on Mourinho: "He doesn't like playing football, he only likes talking. It is unbelievable that Real Madrid, the greatest club in history, hired Mourinho. I cannot understand why Florentino took a gamble on him. If you swapped the managers around, Madrid would win 10-0," he added.
The Italian also launched a scathing assessment of Vinicius: "He is just a good player. Rodrygo seems much better to me. If Vinicius is not in peak physical condition, he has no alternative solutions and lacks real composure in front of goal. He scores goals, but he is not a world-class superstar."
