After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Carl Froch has named the fighter who hit him the hardest in his entire professional boxing career while speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT.
Froch is widely considered to be one of the best British fighters of his generation, having amassed a professional record of 33-2 during his career, while he also won the WBC super middleweight world title twice, the IBF super middleweight world title, and the WBA super middleweight world championship.
During his career, 'The Cobra' competed at the very highest level, going toe-to-toe with some of the best fighters in the world as he looked to cement his legacy. That saw him step into the ring against the likes of George Groves, Jermain Taylor, Lucian Bute, and Mikkel Kessler.
But while speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Froch named another former world champion as the best fighter he ever stepped into the ring with.
"Probably Andre Ward. Just tricky, awkward, very technically good. A hard night’s work."
"The two fights with Kessler both went 12 rounds. The first one I lost, so that was a really tough fight. But in terms of somebody difficult to beat and technically tricky, Andre Ward. He beat me, so fair play."
Froch took on Ward in a huge bout in December 2011 in New Jersey for the WBA, WBC and The Ring super middleweight titles, but was beaten via unanimous decision by the American in a relatively one-sided bout. That fight would be the final loss of Froch's illustrious career.
As mentioned, Froch fought against a number of top-class opponents during his career. He only suffered defeat twice, once to Ward, and once against Kessler in the first of their two fights for the super middleweight titles.
While he only lost twice, Froch was also knocked down twice throughout his career officially, and he was rocked and hurt a number of other times too.
But when asked who the person who hit him hardest in his career was, Froch told GIVEMESPORT, via BetVictor Online Casino, that it wasn't one of the two fighters that knocked him down who hit him hardest, and it was actually in a fight where he claimed a win after just five rounds.
"I’ve been hit really hard with some big shots," he said.
"Glen Johnson hit me with a couple of right hands towards the end of our fight. Mikkel Kessler hit me with a right hand in round 11 of our rematch and my leg did a funny little shake. George Groves flattened me. Jermain Taylor flattened me. I got off the canvas both times to win.
"But Robin Reid, when I defended my British title, threw an overhand right and clipped me on the chin. I tried to walk back to my corner and walked into the ropes because I f****** didn’t know where I was. One of the hardest punches I’ve ever been hit with. Robin Reid.
"And that gives Joe Calzaghe a bit of credit because he got hit with those right hands from Reid and never went over."
